What we collect
When you register a business, post a listing, or send an inquiry, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, business name and address, and the content of your listings and messages. We also collect technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) through analytics, subject to your cookie preferences.
Why we collect it
We use this information to operate the marketplace: publishing your listings, connecting buyers with suppliers, sending transactional emails about your inquiries and account, verifying supplier businesses, and improving the platform. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Who we share it with
When you send an inquiry about a listing, your name and contact details are shared with that supplier so they can respond. We use service providers to run the platform — hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), email delivery (Resend), and payments (Stripe) — each of which processes data only to provide their service to us. Some providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
Account and listing data is kept while your account is active. Inquiry records are kept for our business records. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent and request deletion. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
